Russell Athletic was founded in 1902 by Benjamin Russell. He was considered the inventor of the sweatshirt. His philanthropic initatives and community support would later carry into the brand. We wanted to bring that spirit back into the identity, targeting all demographics. Russell Athletic is a team and family on and off the field for over 100 years.
